Bellingen Artisan Markets

The holiday season is drawing closer and the Bellingen Growers Artisans’ Market is happening again

On Saturday the 12th of December sixty local artists, potters, metal workers, sewers and jewellers will descend on the Beautiful Bellingen Showgrounds with a feast of artistic treasures for you to choose from.

One local artist who will be there is Solange Villarroel known to many as Soli. She has been developing jewellery using 100% recycled silver, copper and semi-precious stones. This exotic jewellery is designed and inspired by her ancestors, the Machupe People of Southern Chile and Argentina who are highly skilled in the art of silversmithing and live in deep connection with the land and all life.

Now in its thirteenth year the Bellingen Growers Artisans Market has been an essential way for local artists to sell, exhibiting and showcase original handmade and nature inspired originals. This annual event is a wonderful way of connecting local artisans with the wider community.

Visitors will be treated to a variety of food stalls offering breakfast and lunch, coffee and cold drinks.  Market organisers are also very happy to welcome back live music by the very entertaining Merchant Bankers.

Treasures will await shoppers with an eye for that special gift made with love and your purchase will support the work of local artists.

Bellingen Growers Artisan Market asks for your help to conduct a Covid Safe Event and will be there to welcome you to this day of colour, music, a wide variety of arts and crafts and of course that special opportunity to get together for the start of the holiday season.
