But wait! There’s more
Two very special exhibitions will be on show this month at The Art Space Urunga.
Running until the 24th of January is the bumper “Summer Show”, with over 130 artworks on display. This members’ exhibition is the biggest show on the Art Gallery’s calender and according to gallery co-ordinator Chris Wilson, 2020 has brought the biggest response in the gallery’s almost 4 years of operation, which is “a tribute to the vibrant local arts community” she said.
Then following on from the Summer Show will be ‘Core Crew 3 – The Usual Suspects’ exhibition, opening on the 30th of January and running until the 3rd of March. The Core Crew Exhibition is a celebration of the amazing artists who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the Art Space running smoothly.
In this show, the ‘workers’ of the gallery emerge from the shadows in what will be an exhibition as varied & unusual as the people themselves. Included will be glass art, sculpture, painting, photography, weaving and ceramics.
