With live gigs being shut down left, right and centre, it’s time to discover new music the old fashion way and check out some new releases…

Kim Churchill
Outta Love
Kim Churchill returns with his brand new track ‘Outta Love’. With a more mellow start I worried that this may be a departure from his blues and roots beginnings and then the instrumental kicked in. Staying with cliché lyrics of love and loss Churchill still manages to make it interesting with depth in his voice and exciting guitar work. I wouldn’t say it stands out as one of his best tracks in his back catalogue but still gives a sense of warmth and a taste of an upcoming new record.

Yhan Leal
Manifesto
Local to the area, Yhan Leal creates beautiful music that works on the street corner, in music venues and on record. Manifesto is the title track of his upcoming full length record. Recorded deep in the Kalang Valley, it is evident that his surroundings have inspired his song writing. With his simple guitar approach and trademark silky vocal tones, lyrics like  “just want to feel safe, I just want to feel content”, Manifesto will make you feel just that.

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
Tally-Ho
If you’ve never had the chance to experience a live show from Perth five piece Psychedelic Porn Crumpets you might mistake their music for fellow Aussie psych rockers Tame Impala or King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, but what these lads bring to the table is a whole lot of fun. Their latest offering ‘Tally-Ho’ is fast, loud and brings in a thrash metal style guitar riff. If you want a new get amped up anthem you wouldn’t have to go past Tally-Ho.
